This town is famous throughout the world for its snow which, given the high altitude and the presence of a magnificent glacier, is perfect for most of the year, even in summer, when in the rest of the ski areas the skis are hung up . Dominating the delightful inhabited area at an altitude of 2,000, “the most noble rock in Europe”, namely the Cervinio, “Matterhorn” in German: a 4,478 meter granite pyramid that can be admired from all sides, just cross the border Swiss and get off at Zermatt.
